I type this from a post natal recovery room in Baptist East, "The Baby Factory" (there's a documentary, our OB is in it lol), and I just have to say that you all are so special. My 3rd child has been born less than 12 hours ago and members of Woodworth village, their friends, and their families have donated what amounts to over 2 tons of goods for the local food bank! Though I've been blessed to never have had to require food from Lee county, I have sat many hours in the Montgomery county WIC office years ago as a single father with full custody. No one ever approaches food banks out of an abundance of dignity, nor do they cherish the stigma of being seen. But at HCOP, my village, YOUR Woodworth is the entity that has garnered enough favor to bring more funding to this cause than any other AU campus-wide organization. Thank you for your participation, and please pass the legacy on. You will never know who you might have helped to become a colleague with just a simple gift of sustenance.
