About
Translators Without Borders is an organization that links the world's translators to vetted non-profit organizations. This U.S. non-profit organization aims to close the language gaps that hinder critical humanitarian and international development efforts worldwide. Their mission is to provide people access to vital knowledge in their language by:
· Providing aid in humanitarian crisis response through translation and interpreting
· Providing translation and simplification services that are culturally appropriate, accessible and open-source
· Building language translation capacity at the local level
· Raising awareness globally of language barriers
To volunteer with this organization, go to their website (www.translatorswithoutborders.org/volunteer/) and click on the volunteer button. From there, you have multiple opportunities to volunteer. Please note that due to the pandemic, there are only opportunities to serve as a translator, which requires an application process.
